Gathering 2003 - Whiteness, Resistance, and Racism

The Voices of Sophia 2003 Gathering will be held September 11-14, 2003 in Louisville, KY. The theme: Racism, Whiteness and Resistance. Materials will be available soon for local organizing to prepare in advance for this Gathering. Already available are reflections from the resistance group already meeting in Louisville.

WOW2003, August 14-17, 2003, Philadelphia, PA

Due to the overwhelming success of WOW2000, another Witness Our Welcome assembly is being planned for the summer of 2003. WOW2003 promises to be even bigger and better than WOW2000. It will be held at the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia, August 14-17, 2003. The theme: “God’s deliverance for all.” Mark your calendars! The 2002 VOS annual Gathering will be held on April 11-14, 2002 in Ferdinand, IN to revision and plan for the future of Voices.

Gathering 2001 - Crossroads at the Border

The 2001 VOS annual Gathering was held on March 1-4, in Tuscon, Arizona. The theme was “Wisdom on the Border,” and participants explored the challenge of transforming our land from one of frontiers and borders that lead to oppression to one in which justice prevails.
