June 2000: Presbyterian News Services. The largely positive review of the Womens' Ministries Program Area was approved by the General Assembly Commissioners, in addition to several other overtures and commissioners' resolutions dealing with womens' issues.

June 2000: Presbyterian News Services. The Voices of Sophia breakfast at the 212th General Assembly was a rousing success. Delores S. Williams, Professor of Theology and Culture at Union Theological Seminary in New York City, gave the keynote address. Commending the membership, Williams claimed that Voices of Sophia had been instrumental in establishing a context for women's voices in action, enlivening the work of women and men and the church at large. June 2000: The Presbyterian Outlook reports on the "continued war of words as Women's Ministries awaits report." Click here for the article.

May 2000: Barbara Dua writes to the Presbyterian Outlook naming the extended review of Women's Ministries Program Area a "blatant sign of Continuing harassment and violence against women in the PCUSA." She encourages our church to review the position of women in the church and evaluate how our "denomination is moving toward accountability of women." Click here for the letter.

April 2000: the Presbyterian Outlook.
