Attending the annual Central Team Meeting (Thursday thru Sunday one weekend in the fall)-
· Where vision & goals for the work of VOS are articulated.
Growing the membership of VOS...
· By inviting at least five nonmembers to join every year during the course of one’s tenure on Central Team.
Participating in fundraising efforts for VOS...
· By sharing names of potential donors.
Communicating with the Central Team ...
· By checking list-serve 2x weekly & responding.
Communicating with the Coordinator…
· By being in touch with her regularly to see if she needs help; to report on what you are doing; and, to lend support.
Forwarding VOS work in four focus areas...
· By leading (or co-leading) a team of VOS members to design a plan for implementation of Central Team's goals - and work to fruition of those goals.
· Communicating the progress, needs, joys and challenges of your work to the rest of the Central Team through the list serve.
* This commitment on the Central Team would call for the investment of approximately 7 hours per month - not including time at the annual Central Team meeting or national VOS gathering.
Participation on the Central Team does not require the following but ask your best efforts to...
· Attend annual gathering.
· Participate local VOS chapter or interact w/ other local VOS members.
· Attend the Presbyterian General Assembly meeting - when in your region/area.
· Identify potential leaders in VOS and share their names.
